Jamal Williams is a psychiatric nurse practitioner licensed in Washington State. He is originally from Little Rock, Arkansas and has been a registered nurse for over 10 years. Over the past 6-7 years he worked as a traveling nurse and worked in multiple medical facilities ranging from various states including Texas, California, Missouri, and Washington State. He was inspired to pursue psychology during his time as a traveling nurse. He began to notice that more of his assigned patients were suffering from some sort of mental illness, but the management and support offered in mental health were insufficient for client recovery. This became more prominent during the pandemic, which further cemented his resolve to become a mental health professional.
Jamal has worked in multiple mental health settings including the crisis stabilization unit and in the juvenile detention center, helping our youth who suffers from various forms of trauma from a young age. His goal is to help those suffering from mental illness and support you as your endure life stressors from the past, in the present, and aid your toward improving your future.
